Before AlmostWed there was Weddify, a wedding planner we made in Sweden. Hundreds of couples used it to plan their weddings. AlmostWed is what those weddings taught us, rebuilt for couples anywhere.
How it went

2023
Weddify launches in Stockholm.
A wedding planner for Swedish couples: guest list, budget, seating, a website for guests. The idea was that planning the day should not feel like a second job.

2025
Hundreds of weddings later.
We watched what couples actually used and where they got stuck. The guest list, the replies, the money and the seating did the work. Everything that did not connect to those got in the way.

2026
AlmostWed opens to everyone.
Weddify assumed Swedish venues, Swedish guests and Swedish kronor. The problem it solved was not Swedish. Rather than bolt on translations, we started over: same idea, any country, any currency, one price.
What hundreds of weddings taught us
Each of these is something couples showed us, and each is built into AlmostWed.
- Fewer tabs
- Couples did not want more features. They wanted the guest list, the replies, the money and the seating to be one thing. So they are.
- Pay once
- Nobody should rent a tool for a one-time day. AlmostWed is $49 for one wedding. It never renews and there is no higher tier.
- Guests never sign up
- Every account you ask a guest to create is a guest who texts you instead. Guests get one link and reply on it.
- It is never one person
- A partner, a parent, the friend with the spreadsheet. Everyone works on the same wedding and sees the same numbers.
A note from the founder
If you are reading this you are probably about to plan a wedding, or already in the middle of one. I have watched hundreds of couples do it. The ones who had a good time were not the most organised. They were the ones where both people could see the same plan and neither had to chase the other for the numbers.
