Weddify is born.
A wedding planner built for Swedish couples, on one stubborn belief: planning the day shouldn’t feel like a second job.
Our story
Before AlmostWed there was Weddify — a wedding planner we made in Sweden that hundreds of couples used to pull off the biggest day of their lives. AlmostWed is everything those weddings taught us, rebuilt from the first pixel for couples planning from anywhere.
It started in Sweden
In 2023 we launched Weddify, a planning app for couples getting married in Sweden. The belief behind it was simple and a little stubborn: planning a wedding should feel like anticipation, not administration.
Couples found it. Then more of them. Within a couple of years hundreds of weddings were planned inside Weddify — guest lists wrangled, budgets balanced, seating charts argued over and finally settled, save-the-dates sent into the world.
We got to watch real couples use it through the most emotional, most chaotic months of their lives. We saw precisely where it helped — and, just as clearly, where it got in the way.
Weddify spoke Swedish. It assumed Swedish venues, Swedish guests, Swedish everything. But the problem it solved was never Swedish — a couple in Lisbon, São Paulo or Cape Town is fighting the exact same twelve browser tabs.
We could have bolted on translations and called it global. Instead we did the harder, better thing.
We started over.

Same belief, rebuilt from the first pixel for couples planning from anywhere. Every lesson, designed in from day one.
What we carried over
None of this is theory. Every principle below is something real couples showed us — and every one of them is built into AlmostWed today.
01
Couples didn’t want more features — they wanted fewer tabs. So everything lives in one room that stays quiet until you need it.
02
Nobody should rent a tool for a one-time day. AlmostWed is a single payment per wedding. It never renews, and it never grows a surprise tier.
03
Every account you ask a guest to create is a guest who texts you instead. Now they get one link they simply open — no app, no password.
04
A partner, a parent, the impossibly organised friend. Everyone plans in the same live workspace, seeing the same picture.
The belief
It’s the same belief that started Weddify, just with a lot more evidence behind it now. A wedding is one of the few days a whole life still bends around — the months leading up to it deserve to feel like that, too.

A note from the founder
Martin · Stockholm
If you’re reading this, you’re probably about to plan a wedding — or you’re already deep in it. I’ve watched hundreds of couples go through exactly that, and I built AlmostWed to be the calm, capable room I wish every one of them had from the very first day.
Weddify taught me what couples actually need when the to-do list gets loud and the opinions get louder. AlmostWed is that knowledge, rebuilt properly and opened up to the world. I hope it makes the months ahead feel a little more like the day itself.
